This was the second of three projects Lincoln completed for Haynes International, Inc. The 4-1/2" German made cold Pilger machine places tremendous stresses on its foundation and required a heavy foundation containing 500 cubic yards of concrete. This foundation was extremely deep and had to be constructed inside an existing plant area while maintaining production of other machines in the area. We also performed erection and final alignment of this giant machine and had one of our first positive encounters with the metric system.
