Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Client :: Hilltop Facility, L.L.C.
This 2,050 sq.ft. project more than doubles the existing meeting space and features the Beverly Brown Coates Auditorium along with a conference room and warming kitchen. Anchoring the new education facility to the existing open-air pavilion is a new courtyard which will extend the indoor space into the landscape and work in concert with natural systems to utilize water and plant resources in a sustainable way. As well as for educational programming, the new structure will also host fundraising events. This project will be the LSU System’s first LEED-certified building and is the final piece of a 1999 master building plan by Lake Flato Architects of San Antonio, Texas.
