Time constraints played a significant role in this Design/Build project for Louisiana Tech. It was imperative that Lincoln Builders’ construction be completed between football seasons. With 10 months to surgically remove the existing press box a mere 3” from the stadium and construct the new facility 85 feet in the air, Lincoln’s early involvement allowed our team to begin constructing deep foundations that fell outside the perimeter of the existing facility while the football season got underway. This allowed demolition of the existing to begin the day after the last game, reducing the overall project delivery by more than two months.
