Lincoln Builders is proud to have served as the construction manager for The Hotel Monroe, an inspired restoration and revitalization at the heart of downtown Monroe, LA. Preserving historic charm while incorporating contemporary comfort, the project transforms two prominent 1891-era structures—the original Sugar Brothers Grocery and the Star Hotel—into a vibrant, full-service boutique experience.
Over an 18‑month, 24‑month build‑out, our team meticulously addressed structural and design challenges to breathe new life into these historic buildings. The project carefully uncovers and restores the original architectural features while seamlessly integrating modern utilities, fixtures, and structural improvements. Now open as part of Hilton’s esteemed Tapestry Collection, the Hotel Monroe offers nearly 70 guest rooms, multiple dining venues, a rooftop bar, and an elegant event ballroom, all within the restored shell of its storied predecessors.
