On April 25 this year, our hometown of Ruston, Louisiana took a direct hit from an EF-3 tornado. Around 2:00 a.m. while people were sleeping, the tornado ripped through the area with winds over 136 miles per hour, uprooting trees, downing power lines and tearing roofs off homes and businesses. Sadly, there were two deaths due to the storm, but thankfully no Lincoln employees had injury or major home damage. However, much damage was sustained on the campus of Louisiana Tech University as well as major damage to commercial property in a centralized area north and south of Interstate 20. Lincoln Builders has been involved from the very morning of the storm until today as tornado damage repairs continue at Louisiana Tech’s sports facilities and housing, as well as the Ruston Shopping Center and Graham commercial strip center.
