Conversion of one-story 191,020 square foot retail mall to a medical facility including an 18,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center, radiation center, dialysis center, laboratory, medical resource center, physicians’ office pavilions, new covered entrance, and renovated commons. Inherent problems of the project provided challenges Lincoln Builders could sink their teeth into, such as retail businesses remaining open with easy and safe customer access; nine separate contracts with three different clients calling the shots; a completion time of less than one year; and sitework required 360 degrees around the building. By approaching the project with Lincoln’s “can-do” mentality, the project was successfully completed in 11 months with a $500,000 savings returned to the clients.
